The United Nations have declared 2011 as the International Year of Chemistry (IYC) under the patronage of UNESCO (United Nationals Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) and IUPAC (International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry) and EPCA have been accepted as global partner for the IYC.

International Transport of Chemical Waste
France, December 2010 – Further to various operations done in the past for the Chemical Industry and also for major players in the treatment of waste, DAHER International now offers solutions for the transport of chemical wastes from foreign countries to European facilities.

DAHER confirms its double European certification CDI-mpc
Le Havre, January 2011 – DAHER is a major player in the transport of chemical products: Its Le Havre based Chemical Transportation Department combines tank container operating and freight forwarding activities. Already among the first ones to get the triple certification for quality (ISO 9001), Environment (ISO 14001) and Security (OHSAS 18001), DAHER is engaged to progress into all QSSE aspects.
In 2007, DAHER Transport & Logistics Department for Chemicals was audited by the CDI – Chemical Distribution Institute – for Tank Container and Freight Forwarder activities with results of more than 96% for both questionnaires. These audits are equivalent to SQAS questionnaires in road transportation for these multimodal transport activities. End 2010, after renewal of these 2 IMPCAS (International Marine Packed Cargo Audit Scheme), the results are as follow on the same perimeter:

DAHER opens its second DAHER CIS branch in St Petersburg
This new Russian branch, which opened on February 1st 2011, will be able to arrange transports throughout Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan by route and/or rail.
DAHER CIS St Petersburg branch will be specialised in chemical industry, oil/gas equipment, machinery, overseas projects and nuclear sectors.
DAHER Moscow office opened 20 years ago. Current staff is 80 employees.

WARRANT Group Ltd IT Update
United Kingdom, December 2010 – WARRANT Group Ltd has been working on the development of our bespoke internal systems and is pleased to announce the introduction of Airfreight and Trailer Modules to the Ingot platform.
The addition of the Airfreight module removes the use of expensive third party software that created duplication for those involved; the new software is based in the cloud and now available at any location. The module is now fully integrated with management reports and the invoicing module so repetition is a thing of the past. The process for users is quicker and involves less work overall for the company. This will allow WARRANT Group Ltd to handle the future industry introduction of e-bills for airfreight movements and its increasing airfreight volumes.
The Trailer module replaces a manual paper based system and again is located in the cloud, allowing every office to take advantage. This once laborious process is now streamlined into a quick efficient process, integrated into the Ingot system. Invoicing is now easier with the introduction of a pilot plug-in for batch invoicing, allowing multiple jobs to be invoiced in a single process saving users more time.
